Hope you have had a good week, here in Kent it has rained virtually non-stop, I've been working, but it hasn't stopped me crafting, I have created a New Home Pop-Up card using stamps I recently bought from a new launch by the company Crafty Individuals, they are quite an eclectic set, and I have used 2 of them for this project. I enjoyed making this card, I hope you like it.
Here is a list of the measurements for the card, it’s quite simple with a pop-up element inside, I have created a video and it is on my You Tube channel, click the link in the header and it will take you there,
You will need: -
5”x7” Card Blank, (I used a pre-made one from a pack)
1 x piece of card 6.5” x 4.5” for the mat
1 piece of A5 Card for the inside
Card for stamping and cutting out the houses
Crafty Individuals stamps CI 558 Street and CI 116 Crackle
Imagination Crafts Stencil “Dots”
Distress Oxides in Peeled Paint for the background of the 6.5 x 4.5 mat, and Hickory Smoke for Crackle stamp
The Houses were stamped 3 times with Versamark embossing ink and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Detail embossing powder in Ancient Copper and cut out,
Inside I used Brushed Corduroy for the stencil , I coloured the A5 card as per the front in Peeled Paint and stamped with hickory smoke
To finish the front Alphabet Dies or “New Home “stamp
Colours of your choice to colour the houses
The Pop Up die I used is the Stampendous Pop Up Stages die DCP1008 however its very easy to make your own Pop Up and I explain that in the video, also there are many ways to make a "stand" for a pop-up.
I am now preparing my project for the next video and I thought I would go down the mixed media route, so lookout for that one.
